MYM roster revamped!
Sist oppdatert den 7. Feb 2007 kl 14:18
The Danish organisation Meet Your Makers recruited the Norwegian players from the team tentatively known as cbteam in September 2006. This team has been heads and shoulders better than the other teams on a national level and they fought their way to the CPL finals in Dallas in December.

A great result and one that gave great promise for the future, the team even survived the month so affectionately labelled the Silly Season of eSports without losing their talent.

Today reliable sources confirm that the roster is undergoing serious changes to meet the new challenges of 2007. This will be a sad day for fans of the team that revere Preben "oops" Josdal as he will step down from active duty.

Josdal was the hot potato this summer when the evaluation of performances of the Catch Gamer team led to his departure, one that was soon followed by REAL and juve9le as the refused to sign new contracts with the Norwegian organisation.

Josdal allegedly cites "a lack of motivation" as the reason for his early retirement whereas he stated that this was NOT the case when he wasn't offered a new contract with Catch Gamer this summer. His real life seems to have caught up to him demanding he focuses his talents in the real world.

MYM player Sondre "REAL" Svanevik had this to say about the situation;
- We agreed that oops should come back and play actively after CPL Winter but after a few days of practice he said he didn't have the urge to play at this level anymore. It was a blow we have to deal with [...] I have been playing with him for two years and I wish him all the best in his life.

Josdal leaves MYM depleted as Lasse xione Stokke also chose inactivity after their CPL campaign. Stokke works for his father and has no time for competitive eSports at present. With two players short MYM could experience problems with the upcoming SHG event in Denmark, but from what this reporter has learned the team has already found an adequate replacement.

Jon Thomas "DaY" Rudstrøm will step in and play with his countrymen after over a year with 4 Kings.

This leaves the new MYM roster with these players:

  • Ola "element" Moum
  • Geir-Stian "juve9le" Svendsen
  • Sondre "REAL" Svanevik
  • Preben "prb" Gammelsæter
  • Jon Thomas "DaY" Rudstrøm

This has not been confirmed or denied by either organisation but expect to see statements on the situation from MYM and 4 Kings shortly.
